The outreach was held at the Department of Optometry Eye Clinic, Imo State University, Owerri. Through the combined efforts of healthcare professionals, volunteers, partners, and supporters, the project reached approximately 800 beneficiaries, providing eye examinations, professional consultations, glasses, medications, and referrals.

The success of the project was strengthened by our medical partners: Women Optometrists in Nigeria (WON), Imo Chapter; Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA), Imo Chapter; and the Department of Optometry, Imo State University, Owerri.
Our media partners, including Boss FM Owerri, Hot FM Owerri, and Zanadars FM Owerri, supported awareness and community engagement.
We also received branding support from Smiley Rural Foundation and Brainslink Nigeria Ltd.
The Owerri Eye Care Project 2023 demonstrated what can be achieved when professionals, volunteers, organisations, and communities come together with a shared purpose—to make quality eye care accessible and restore sight where possible.
